How much light is enough light?

The lighting requirements for your aquarium depend on the type of plants you have selected. If you have opted for "Easy" plants, a lighting intensity of 10-20 lumens (0.25 to 0.5 watts) per liter is sufficient. For "Medium" plants, we recommend a range of 20-40 lumens (0.5 to 1 watt) per liter, while "Advanced" plants require more than 40 lumens (1 watt) per liter.
