Reptile heating lamps emit thermal rays highly similar to the sun's infrared spectrum, including UVA (long-wave infrared) and visible light. These rays effectively penetrate reptile skin to directly warm core body tissues and muscles, promoting deep blood circulation. This fundamentally differs from radiators that only heat air, providing true physiological heating for reptiles.

The LED reptile light strip with remote control offers three timed cycle modes (3H/6H/12H), enabling overnight cycling with automatic on/off functionality. Additionally, the reptile heating lamp features three adjustable brightness levels. Use the "+/-" buttons to fine-tune the temperature to your pet's ideal setting, enhancing heating efficiency and calcium supplementation. The 50W bulb provides more direct sunlight and higher UVA/UVB levels, simulating natural sunlight to stimulate your pet's appetite and calcium absorption.

FAQ

Q: How long should the heat lamp be on?

A: Simulate natural day-night cycles. Typically, keep it on for 10-14 hours daily, which can be automated with a timer. Whether nighttime heating is needed depends on the species and your room temperature. Most common reptiles (like leopard geckos and corn snakes) don't require nighttime heat if the room temperature stays above 18°C (64°F).

Q: Are UVB lamps and heat lamps the same thing?

A: Not entirely. While some products combine both (e.g., full-spectrum sun lamps), they are often separate. Heat lamps primarily provide warmth (infrared radiation), while UVB lamps deliver ultraviolet light. Determine whether you need a separate UVB lamp or a heat lamp with integrated UVB based on your species' requirements.

Q: Why must ceramic lamp holders be used?

A: Standard plastic or bakelite holders cannot withstand the high temperatures generated by heat lamps over extended periods. They are prone to melting, warping, or even catching fire, posing significant safety hazards. Ceramic holders are heat-resistant and essential safety accessories when using heat lamps.
